Children of the Corn

Children of the Corn are considered one of the Memphis-staples. If you know artists such as Three 6 Mafia, Project Pat, Gangsta Blac, Kingpin Skinny Pimp, and the list goes on - you more than likely have heard of 'horrorcore' rap, a subgenre that was launched directly by Lil Grimm, and his group Children of the Corn. Children of the Corn, or COTC for short, is considered one of the founders of horrorcore. The album titled 'The Single' is an underground classic that it's not as under-the-radar as it may be inclined. Lil Grimm has had massive success with Kanye West, Juicy J, and the list goes on. He is considered a notable name in Memphis hip-hop as a producer and artist. With the utmost kindness and care, Gate Girl Records was given the extreme privilege to launch Children of the Corn: The Single - 30th Anniversary Edition on vinyl through Get on Down - the largest hip-hop vinyl distributor. Selling out within 48 hours - and including 100 autographed inserts out of 300 copies, this legendary release had fans pulling over in morning traffic to secure their vinyl. After such an outpouring of love for the release, and the response sending a shockwave of disappointment to fans who didn't secure one of the 300 available copies - Lil Grimm gave his approval to do a 'Standard Edition' that will launch in early 2026.
